Carl has strong experience at senior level in the public and private sectors and has applied knowledge and experience across sectors throughout his career. His background includes 10 years in professional services (‘Big 4’), ERP systems implementation and running a number of commercial businesses.
While working in professional services, he specialised in financial management advisory, performance improvement and supporting organisations to achieve significant change. He has worked both in the UK and abroad in a variety of sectors including the NHS, the wider public sector, consumer and industrial markets, communication and entertainment.
Carl has supported the development of our organisation since early 2013 and became the Chief Finance Officer of Staffordshire and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit in October 2013. He has supported the growth and integration of the business into its present form including the subsequent merger with Central Midlands in April 2014. He took up his current role in January 2015 and now leads the organisation with all aspects of corporate financial management and control, business planning, governance and commercial development.
Carl is committed to continual learning and development and sits on a branch committee of HFMA.
