Lynda has more than 30 years’ experience in marketing and communications across the public and private sectors and is a national board director in public sector communications.
She started her career as a neuroscientist and worked for commercial PR companies on consumer healthcare accounts, including Boots.
Lynda went on to direct communications for a range of government departments, including health, justice, culture and transport. During six years as Head of Communications Policy and Development, she launched major health brands such as NHS Direct and NHS walk in centres.
With experience in disaster management across emergency services, Lynda has lectured for the Cabinet Office’s Emergency Planning College on national reputation management.
Together with Stephanie Belgeonne she set up a new model for NHS communications and engagement in 2011, which continues to thrive in a competitive environment and win business across the public sector.
Lynda has been involved in high profile turnarounds, such as supporting George Eliot Hospital through special measures, and healthcare transformations, like the Sandwell and West Birmingham ‘Right Care Right Here’ partnership.
