Midlands and Lancashire CSU’s (MLCSU) Strategy Unit is launching a range of new or improved analytical services at stand H366 at the Healthcare Efficiency Through Technology (HETT) Expo at London’s Olympia on 30 September.
The services or ‘packs’ support commissioner planning for acute services and help estimate future need for dementia services. Our expert team will be on hand to show examples of, and talk to commissioners about these new analytical reports/tools that the team can now produce for any CCG across the country.
Members of the team will be showcasing a series of reports designed to inform commissioner planning for acute services and support acute contract negotiations. Each report addresses a crucial aspect of commissioner planning – demographics, QIPP opportunities and finances – which together provide a complete picture of a CCG’s activity and costs over a five year horizon for a range of scenarios. The team has also developed a bespoke modelling tool to support commissioners in estimating future need for dementia services across all stages of the care pathway. Outputs from the model are synthesised in a comprehensive report available to all CCGs, examples of which will be available on the day.
HETT and the co-located event Commissioning in Healthcare show promise to provide a unique insight into the government’s digital health agenda and discuss how the innovative use of information and technology is supporting improvements in healthcare.
