Utilising Social Marketing Strategies to Improve Public Health Outcomes forum

.

NHS communications managers and healthcare professionals are invited to the Utilising Social Marketing Strategies to Improve Public Health Outcomes forum on Tuesday 13 October at the Hallam Conference Centre in London.

The application of social marketing principles to achieve specific behavioural goals has been a hallmark of UK public health strategy in recent times.

The forum will reflect on the progress made from Public Health England’s (PHE’s) Marketing Plan 2013-14, and outlay strategies for the future through case studies that can be seen as having a direct benefit to society such as Sport England's 'This Girl Can' campaign, ‘Stoptober’ and the ‘Change 4 Life’ programme.

Attendees will learn how local authorities are creating innovative campaigns to target underexposed sectors in local communities, grappling with more complex medical issues, and how government is continuing to legislate to support local and commercial initiatives.
