Alison leads the Evidence Analysis Team and is particularly interested in developing tools, such as "living" evidence reviews to integrate evidence into decision making and continuous learning throughout change programmes. She recently co-presented posters on evidence-informed commissioning at the international Evidence Live conference.
She was recently awarded a place on the Research Fellows programme funded by Health Education West Midlands and is exploring how evidence and knowledge are integrated in whole systems change. Alison has over 20 years’ experience across a range of healthcare settings, having previously worked at NICE and ScHARR (University of Sheffield). Examples of recent work include an in-depth review for the West Midlands Clinical Senate to support primary care co-commissioning and a literature review for a project commissioned by Cancer Research UK to inform an evaluation of endoscopy demand and capacity.
