We are pleased to announce the first national Health and Care Analytics Conference organised by The Strategy Unit and sponsored by the Health Economics Unit along with all four NHS Commissioning Support Units, NHS Midlands and Lancashire, Arden & Gem, North of England Commissioning Support Unit (NECS), and South, Central and West. With talks, workshops, panel discussions and posters from more than 150 submitted abstracts and expert guest speakers, the packed programme runs across two days on July 11-12.
The conference is free and open to anyone in the NHS, public sector or health and care-related voluntary sector. This year’s theme is ‘analysts as influencers’ – leading the conversation and driving innovation in their field.

· Clare Griffiths – Population Health Surveillance lead at Department of Health and Social Care and former Head of the UK Coronavirus dashboard
· Michael Blastland – Writer and broadcaster and Deputy Chair of Royal Papworth Hospital
· Ming Tang – Chief Data and Analytics Officer at NHS England
· Pouria Hadjibagheri – Software engineer and data scientist, former technical lead of the UK Coronavirus Dashboard
· Peter Spilsbury – Director of the Strategy Unit
· Nigel Edwards – Chief executive of the Nuffield Trust
· Sue Hill – Chief Scientific Officer for England
· John Newton – Chair of the external Scientific Advisory Board of Sante publique France
· Richard Riley – Professor of Biostatistics at the University of Birmingham
Alongside these speakers the conference will feature talks, posters, workshops and drop-in rooms from a huge range of organisations, demonstrating the important work being done by analysts in health and care and examining how this drives impactful change.
Organisations presenting work include the Office for National Statistics, Cancer Research UK, and the National Children’s Bureau.
