Pharmacy initiatives supporting COVID-19 response and digital prescribing rollout

Our pharmacy initiatives played a crucial role in supporting NHS England’s COVID-19 response, providing leadership and resources for end-of-life care, care homes, and stock tracking. We reduced duplication across North West CCGs, improved access to palliative care medicines, and rolled out scalable solutions for Electronic Prescribing (EPS) and eRepeat Dispensing (eRD). Our efforts, including webinars and an EPS/eRD delivery team, significantly reduced GP workload and enhanced patient care.
