Optimisation of inhaled Corticosteroids for patients in West Cheshire
Home » Case studies » Optimisation of inhaled Corticosteroids for patients in West Cheshire
Through our targeted approach, we optimised the prescribing of inhaled corticosteroids for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease patients in West Cheshire. By working closely with pharmacists, respiratory nurses, and GPs, we improved patient health, reduced safety risks, and achieved cost efficiencies of £28,682, surpassing the initial target. This initiative also enhanced inhaler techniques and promoted the pharmacist’s role within GP practices, delivering both clinical benefits and cost improvements.
