In 2018, Wirral CCG and NHS trusts joined the Pan Mersey Area Prescribing Committee, facilitated by our Liverpool Medicines Management and Optimisation team. This collaboration has streamlined prescribing practices, reduced duplication of effort, and enhanced patient care across Merseyside. Wirral’s involvement has led to the alignment of formulary chapters, clinical guidelines, and shared care frameworks with Pan Mersey, ensuring consistent decision-making and governance for Wirral patients.
