Building capable communities to tackle premature avoidable death in people with a learning disability living with epilepsy
There is now a recognised urgent and compelling case for action to tackle premature avoidable death and to improve quality of life for people with learning disability who live with epilepsy. Almost a quarter of people with a learning disability have epilepsy. This life-long condition adversely affects their health, safety and well-being and carries a significant increased risk of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP).
Join Professor Rohit Shankar, Epilepsy Action and other leading experts at our forthcoming webinar to learn more about how a whole system approach to creating capable communities can help address the challenges we continue to face in reducing avoidable premature death for this at risk population.

Transforming Care series
This event is part of series hosted by NHS Midlands and Lancashire (ML) specialist team supporting the transformation of learning disability, autism and specialised mental health care.
