Deputy Director of NHS Midlands and Lancashire’s (NHS ML) Digital Innovation Unit, Dr Priyantha Jayawardane is a key speaker at a Birmingham Tech Week event looking at the role of 5G in healthcare.
The online session on 13 October 2020 (10.15pm) entitled ‘Why 5G will prove fundamental to improving healthcare’ will look at how 5G can provide the connectivity to deliver care and support away from the clinic and in the community or at home. Speakers will share details of trials underway in the West Midlands that are already delivering benefits.
Other speakers are Mike Emery, Adrian Smith and John Vesey, representing Hereford and Worcester Clinical Commissioning Group, West Midlands 5G and Satellite Applications Catapult.
